A Home-Like Environment

Heathwood’s Secure Memory Care is designed to be comforting and serene, with visual cues and safety features that limit wandering. Clinical and administrative functions are out of sight. The atmosphere is welcoming, from the cozy country kitchen for activities and meals to the pleasant living area and adjoining lounge or library. Nostalgic music and familiar touches throughout the comfortably-furnished sitting areas evoke the impression of being at home. There’s even an enclosed porch, complete with rocking chairs and blooming window boxes.

Individualized Care

The Seasons approach is based on the personality, history, likes and dislikes of residents. By taking the time to know residents as individuals, the Seasons Memory Care program incorporates aspects of family, work, hobbies and interests into their day. By focusing on pleasant times and experiences from their past, we help them maintain the highest possibly level of ability. Daytime and evening programs engage all the senses and encourage creativity.

Seasons staff members are specially trained in understanding, communicating and interacting with memory-impaired individuals, delivering care with exceptional patience, compassion and skill.

Seasons participants become less anxious, more talkative and more cooperative. They eat and sleep better and display fewer upsetting behaviors and often require less medication, which frequently results in improvements in their physical condition.
